WCA NGO work
As an NGO, Women's Caucus for Art has the privilege of having a seat, a voice in the United Nations. Civil Society, a term I find delightful, is this collection of perspectives that are added to the governmental and business related ones collected by the United Nations in the policy and decision-making processes.
Each year, NGOs submit reports that show how each NGO is supporting the work of the United Nations. WCA does this by creating opportunities for women to share their concerns about their lives and their world through artistic means. Our focus on Art & Activism is demonstrated through national work (honoring women artists, getting more women's art into museums and participation in UN meetings and conferences), chapter work (for ex., the Philadelphia Chapter's Ragdoll project and the Minneapolis Chapter's Women and Water Rights) and the work of individual members.
